| The Site | Transport As part of the development, a number of transport improvements are proposed. Two new junctions are planned to provide access into the site from the A43. It is also planned to modify the existing Weldon Roundabout to create another access from the A43. Further access points will be provided at four places from Gretton Road in the west. It is proposed to dual the A6116 Steel Road (up to its junction with Birchington Road), the A427 (up to the Weldon roundabout), and the A43 between the Weldon roundabout and the new roundabout on the A43. There will also be good links within the development. A new bus service will serve the three neighbourhoods linking them to Corby and the surrounding settlements. The proposals include a network of footpaths and cycleways, both through the neighbourhoods and extending into the surrounding parkland, to encourage walking and cycling and to provide an attractive recreational facility.
